About Triangle Tax & Insurance
A Cary-based practice built around one idea: that your taxes, your business, and your coverage are connected, and you shouldn’t have to explain your situation to three different people.

Meet Yogesh Parajuli, EA
I’m Yogesh Parajuli, an IRS Enrolled Agent and the owner of Triangle Tax & Insurance. I’ve worked in the tax industry since 2016 and expanded into insurance in 2018.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Accounting from North Carolina Central University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Today I work directly with individuals, families, and small business owners on tax preparation and planning, IRS matters, bookkeeping, payroll, business services, and insurance. Every client who comes through this office works with me, not with a team member assigned to their file.
I’m based right here in Cary, NC, helping individuals and small businesses with tax preparation, planning, and year-round compliance. As a licensed health and life insurance agent and Wake County notary, I also offer business registration and insurance guidance alongside tax services, all from one trusted advisor. Clients get responsive, one-on-one attention from someone invested in the Triangle community.
Every client who comes through this office works with me, not with a team member assigned to their file.
Why I started this practice
I started Triangle Tax & Insurance because of a pattern I kept seeing. People were going to one place for their taxes, somewhere else for bookkeeping, a third place for business filings, and someone else again for insurance — and still had nobody to call when a question came up in the middle of the year.
Each provider saw one piece. Nobody saw how the pieces fit together, and the gaps between them were where things went wrong.
I wanted to build something more personal, and year-round. My goal isn’t to prepare a return or place a policy and move on. It’s to understand a client’s actual situation, explain their options in language that makes sense, and be someone they keep working with as their family, their finances, or their business changes.
That’s why this practice brings tax, accounting, business, and insurance services together, while still giving you the experience of working directly with one professional who knows your history.
Credentials and qualifications
IRS Enrolled Agent.
The Enrolled Agent credential is issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and requires passing a comprehensive examination covering individual and business taxation and IRS procedure, along with a background check and ongoing continuing education each year. It’s one of only three designations with unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS, and unlike a state license it applies in all fifty states.
Authorized IRS e-file Provider.
Returns are filed electronically through the IRS e-file system.
Licensed North Carolina Life and Health Insurance Producer.
NC License #18677737.
Notary Public, Wake County, North Carolina.
Commissioned to perform notarial acts under North Carolina law.
National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) — the national professional organization for Enrolled Agents, with its own continuing education standards and code of ethics.
North Carolina Society of Enrolled Agents (NCSEA) — the state affiliate, which keeps me connected to North Carolina–specific tax developments and the EA community here.
National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) — a national organization providing continuing education and research resources across federal and state tax matters.
I’m also currently working through the National Tax Practice Institute, NAEA’s advanced program in IRS representation and taxpayer advocacy.
How I work
You deal with me, not a front desk.
When you call, you reach the person who prepared your return and knows your situation. There’s no account manager relaying questions to someone else.
I explain things rather than just filing them.
You should understand why your return looks the way it does, what the numbers mean, and what you could do differently next year. I’d rather spend the extra twenty minutes explaining than have you leave with a folder you don’t understand.
I’m available year-round.
Tax questions arrive in July as often as April. A notice in the mail, a change in income, a business decision that has tax consequences — those aren’t separate engagements.
I’ll tell you when you don’t need me.
If your return is simple enough that software will handle it well, I’ll say so. If a strategy someone recommended isn’t worth the complexity for your situation, I’ll say that too. Selling you something you don’t need is a bad way to keep a client for ten years.
Your information is handled carefully.
Documents move through an encrypted client portal, not email. Financial and identity information deserve that standard.
Who I work with
- Individuals and families with returns that have grown past simple — a home, investments, children in college, income from more than one state.
- Self-employed people and contractors managing Schedule C income, quarterly estimated payments, and deductions without an employer handling withholding.
- Small business owners who need the books, the payroll, the return, and the entity decisions handled together rather than scattered across providers.
- Immigrant families navigating the U.S. tax and insurance systems, often for the first time, and often while also helping parents and relatives who are visiting.
- People who are behind — unfiled returns, an IRS notice sitting on the counter, books that haven't been touched in eighteen months. These situations are more common than people think, and they're fixable.
- People who've been badly served elsewhere and want a second opinion on what they've been told.
Languages spoken
I serve clients in English, Hindi, and Nepali. Tax and insurance are hard enough in your first language. Being able to discuss a return, a health plan, or an IRS notice in the language a family actually uses at home changes how well the conversation goes, and how confident people feel about the decisions they make.
WHY TRIANGLE TAX
What sets this practice apart
One advisor across connected areas.
Your bookkeeping feeds your tax return. Your Marketplace health plan affects your refund through the premium tax credit. Your entity structure changes how you pay yourself. When separate providers handle each piece, those connections are nobody’s job.
Federal representation rights.
As an Enrolled Agent, if the IRS has questions about a return I prepared, I can represent you directly rather than referring you elsewhere.
Local, not a call center.
A real office in Cary, serving Wake County and the Triangle. You can drop off documents, sit down across a desk, and have your questions answered by the person handling your file.
Straight answers.
Including the ones that don’t lead to a sale.
